the best sales for working women

Ever since the miscarriage, shopping has moved even lower on the priority list for me. I had a very exciting trip to plan for and skyrocketing medical bills, so a good sale means more to me now than ever 🙂

Anyone who has been following me for some time knows that I am not one to talk about every and any sale out there. As a matter of fact, if you know me well, you know that I avoid more of the flash sales than I participate. I hate when I impulsively buy something because it is on sale and not because I love it. Especially with a work wardrobe, something you build over time, I find more value in buying less, really good items that will last a long time… then a lot of trendy pieces that you’ll be sick of by next season.

Also – I am NOT going to talk about the Nordstrom sale because (1) most of the good things are already sold out there… in my opinion and (2) they pay higher commissions to bloggers which has resulted in a massive over promoting of the sale. I am just sick of seeing the promotions all over my newsfeed! HOWEVER, if anyone finds any great work stuff there, let me know!!

VERONICA BEARD

With that said. There are a few sales that all you working women out there must must must check out! The first, being Veronica Beard. The plus is that there are still amazing items left that just hit 70% off, but the negative is that many of them are final sale. Veronica Beard fits true to size, and works with a lot of stretch materials so I find their clothing to be incredibly comfortable. Some quick shout outs:

• This off-white blazer that I have eyed for months, although all of their blazers, I love them all and they are great work staples
• The Midi skirts with the high slits, which I lived in all spring and summer. I actually think they will be even cuter for the fall with high boots underneath
• The dresses, because they are usually SO expensive! and are now going for around $200 and under
• The bomber jackets, especially as we get closer to fall!

SHOPBOP

The Shopbop sale has been going on all summer, but it is definitely worth checking from time to time as they are constantly adding new things. I know this seems like a collection of totally random things, but below are my top picks for work appropriate sale items ranging from hugely discounted designer clothes to 30% off every day items. Shopbop had a ton of great work dresses (which are always hard to find for me.)

INTERMIX

I want to hate Intermix because of their mediocre return policies and expensive prices, however, I have to admit, I always find great stuff there. I also always find their sales to be solid. I know these aren’t business appropriate, but if you buy one thing off of my site today, check out these jeans. They have become my absolute favorites that I wear at least twice a week. They are mid-rise, stretchy, but not legging like and have the perfect amount of rip.
