There is nothing easier than rolling out of bed and throwing a dress on. Especially one that is already fitted with a cute belt accessory. This dress is part of the brand Sea’s new fall collection and has everything I look for in a great fall dress. Before I talk about the dress in more detail, I have to mention how much I love everything Sea is doing right now. I used to think they were exclusively a beachy- Montauk vibe brand and couldn’t see how I’d ever wear any of their pieces to work. This season, there are so many amazing pieces that could be worn both in and out of the office that still retail their easy, slightly bohemian style. I’m thinking of also getting this check combo dress, as well! It’s different, and also great for fall (think of it with a neutral colored high boot!)
What I love about this combo dress specifically is that you can’t tell if it is one piece or two! Because it looks like two pieces, you can always throw a chunky sweater on top when it gets a bit colder out to have a totally different look. I styled the dress here with a simple nude pump (these are amazing ones that are under $150 if you are in the market for a new pair…) because it elongates my legs (and I am short!) but you could also wear this dress with a high black boot when it is colder out. In the photos below, you can also see that there are the most adorable blue bow ties that add a really nice detail lacing up the back of the dress.
If you love this look, but don’t love the price of the dress, you can buy separates that will give a very similar feel. J. Crew makes my favorite stretch, white button down top (that happens to always be on sale) that could be worn with this H&M skirt for a VERY similar look.
Last, but not least, I should mention – I don’t go ANYWHERE without my notebook. It’s an odd thing to care about but I am obsessed with this green moleskin. It lasts me through 6 months of work and it is the perfect size to throw into almost any back. I also think it looks a lot more professional than a “CVS” style ring binded notebook. I like switching up the colors and doing a bright yellow in the summer and a green or blue in the fall. I know, “school supply” obsessions aren’t for anyone, but if you’re a geek like me I thought you’d appreciate it!
