You know those days that you wake up the dead of winter, where it’s pitch black, you’re waiting for the sun rise — but then it never does? It is gloomy, and cold, you fear your office will be an igloo. On days like these, I use one of my most favorite tricks: Dressing up a big cozy sweater! Today, I paired my staple gray Theory pants, with a 360 Cashmere cape/sweater (yes, it had fringe on the bottom) and a pale pink Theory silk button down shirt to dress up the sweater. Pairing a more “formal” shirt and pants with a cozy sweater is the perfect way to transform a casual weekend piece for a cold day at work!
PS – The sweater in this photo is one of my favorites. It was definitely a splurge piece, but I get so much use out of it — think jacket in the fall, sweater in the winter for both work or fun!
