the silk blouse: efficiency at its finest

One shirt: endless possibilities. When you are, especially starting, a career in finance, wardrobe options are limited. We all know the price tags on Theory, Vince, [name your semi-trendy work brand]. Because of this, whenever possible, I try to re-work one items multiple ways. Sometimes, I’ll even wear the item multiple times in one week (shh!). This is perhaps easiest achieved using a basic silk off-white* blouse.

*off white is particularly susceptible to stains: coffee, pens, lunch, tears (?). Public service announcement – keep a tide stick at your desk at all times (and preferably in your bag as well). You never know when you’ll end up in a client meeting and that brownie looks too good…
