bringing the cape to work

After quite some time out of my corporate clothes… I’m back!

I’ve worn this cape over dresses to black tie events but had yet to try it out in the office! I have no idea why it took me so long. Capes are all over the streets – in thin, blazer like versions (like the one I am wearing here) and also in thicker fabrics like this warm, cozy Fairbault wool cape. The cape I am wearing is a great substitute for a blazer and even maintains the same professionalism. Unfortunately this whole outfit is sold out 🙁 – who would have thought!
I did, however, find a very similar, blazer cape that I think serves the same purpose.
