So, the print on this top is actually of teeny tiny pills, not your average polka dots! I thought it was hilarious when I saw it (yes, these types of things crack me up). In addition to the fabulous print, I also loved the way the shirt was conservative in the front with a party in the back! Seemed only appropriate to pair it with an equally deceivingly boring blazer. This Rag and Bone blazer has become a staple in my closet to wear both to work or out on the weekends with a white tee shirt and ripped jeans. The pleats in the back give it the perfect girly flair, while keeping it appropriate for work. Another positive of this outfit, it completely hides the fact that I am wearing (my favorite) rag and bone “leggings” which are very borderline work appropriate on their own. A trick I recently discovered is that you can totally get away with wearing thicker leggings (in the right material) as long as you wear a longer, looser, top over it. As long as the waist band isn’t exposed, everyone will be tricked that you are wearing real trousers; and you will be tricked into thinking your desk chair is comfortable . . .
Happy Monday, hope everyone had a great weekend! I cooked dinner for a bunch of friends on Friday – after work – which was certainly a challenge that I will have to feature in a separate post (who knew, salmon is actually pretty easy and quick to cook for a large group!?)
