Walking to work is the best and worst thing. For starters, I don’t have to deal with the subway during rush hour (woohoo!) BUT – I have to deal with figuring out what shoes are appropriate enough to walk into my office lobby but comfortable enough to take me 20 blocks. I also have to deal with sweating in the summer, being freezing in the winter, and fighting with my umbrella when its raining (but I’ll save those issues for another post!) My shoe issues were completely resolved when I discovered Rothy’s! At least for the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons….
Rothy’s are lightweight, affordable, very cute looking, machine washable, comfortable, and sustainable (they are made of recycled water bottles.) They are completely bendable so can be thrown into almost any purse – which works well if you’re short like me and are constantly changing in and out of your heels! If you are taller, or prefer wearing flats during the day, they also look great on their own!
I’m wearing my Rothy’s with a yellow ruched skirt – this particular yellow seems to be one of the hot colors of the season – which I love for fall with neutral colors. I thought this skirt was a good purchase because it could easily transition to winter with black over the knee boots (these happen to be amazing and are on sale…) and a dark gray chunky sweater. Not to mention, that look sounds incredibly comfy for a cold winter day.
I love a sleeveless turtleneck for this time of year. They are great to layer and look awesome with a leather jacket on top. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for us New Yorkers, its been an unusually hot all so I haven’t been able to wear my sweaters as much as I’d like!
Wearing: skirt | sweater (similar, mine is old!) | Gucci bag | pumps (similar) | flats
