Someone recently asked me – “what’s your color for spring?” and I responded “olive green,” which I think was sort of an odd response. Olive green doesn’t typically scream “spring” but I have definitely been gravitating to it this season. I think the way to look at it is actually as a replacement for black – rather than a replacement for those fun spring pastels. Especially to the office, when incorporating a ton of color could be tough, try swapping some of your favorite black basics for another neutral like beige (which doesn’t work well with my skin coloring) or olive green for a lighter feel. I decided to go all out and color-block this two toned ATM blazer (which I must admit, I discovered in my mother’s closet) with my favorite olive green pants, and last season’s black and white bag. Even though it’s a bit of a busy look, I think it all comes together!
As a side note – ATM makes THE BEST t-shirts. They are a bit pricey, so you definitely don’t want to be throwing them on to go to a yoga class, but for a day out in the city, they are incredibly soft and have perfect necklines. They also have very cool pants for work that are a little on the casual side (perfectly comfy for a rainy Friday.) Take a look here!
