the [almost] Chanel blazer

There is truly no one piece of clothing as luxurious as a Chanel tweed jacket to me (full disclaimer – I do not own any of these… a girl can dream.) Tweed jackets instantly add sophistication and elegance to any look but also work nicely with a pair of worn out jeans on the weekend. When I spotted this Rebecca Taylor jacket, I instantly thought it must belong to some ultra-high end designer a la Chanel. I was excited to see that it was, in fact, made by Rebecca Taylor – one of my favorite “work-wear” brands. The tweed jacket look has turned into my “go-to” for big meeting days where I want to up my professionalism and appear a bit older than I know I look.

One thing to keep in mind – if you’re going for the tweed jacket – that is typically packed with textures and colors, try to keep whatever you are wearing under it simple. I find that a classic silk blouse is a nice compliment, but a basic oxford blouse would work too! I have yet to find a full tweed suit that I love – but have been keeping my eyes out!
