Disclaimer: these boots (under almost all circumstances) are not work appropriate; and despite my love of work appropriate attire, I could not resist buying them. A girl has to enjoy her time out of the office, right! The (modest) three inch heel makes the boots appropriate for a fun day activity but wear perfectly through the night. They are comfortable, stylish, flattering (in my opinion)…. and I found out right after I wore them for the first time that Steve Madden made a very similar shoe for a fraction of the price (and are selling out fast)! I decided to go for the over the knee boot by Jean-Michel Cazabat because of the chunky heel and the adjustable thigh band. For all the petite ladies out there, I know how challenging it could be to find a well-fitting over the knee boot: (1) some of them are so freakin’ tall that they go right up to your…. (2) some are so wide that even if they do go all the way up to your… you know what… they fall right back down! When looking for the right pair, look for an adjustable thigh band, it really helps keep the boots sitting right above your knee and not slouching down to your ankles.
I, personally, like the look of dressing the boots down, and pairing them with worn out jeans and a structured top. I’ve found that the look works best with a looser fitted top so I thought this J. Crew structured number was just right.
