you know what fall means… wedding season!

I must be honest, I was the first of my friends to get married, so I’m fairly new at being a wedding guest! I have to say, finding that perfect guest dresses is quite the challenge. After extensive get dress shopping, I found a few that (I think) will do the trick for the many weddings I will be attending this upcoming season! These dresses were so tough to shop for because you want to look good – but not too sexy, you want to stand out – but not too much, and you want something memorable – but not too memorable because you will be likely wearing it to another weekend that is bound to have some overlap in guests! This past weekend, I wore Zimmerman, and have been dreaming about slipping into the dress all week. It’s black (safe), and long (elegant) but has an interesting bust-line that makes it just the right amount of different. Anyone else have any great suggestions? 

I decided to throw an (old) Maje cape/blazer over it that has had it’s share of time at the office and think the combination came out kind of cool! I searched and searched and searched for it online but it seems to be sold out everywhere. I found a similar one from BCBG that I think could also do the trick. 

For shoes – I’d recommend the Stuart Weitzman Nudist Sandal which look great for both black tie and a night on the town. They’re a perfect staple that fits in to so many different occasions. I just wish I bought them earlier in the year to enjoy during summer!
