Okay, I have a new love – Tory Burch! I always associated the brand with those ballet flats (nothing against the flats…) and recently decided to give the clothes a new try! I know, I’m probably way behind on that game – don’t make fun! I was overwhelmingly impressed and may have gone a little bit crazy updating my summer/fall wardrobe. I thought this skirt was a perfect transitional piece that is brightened up with a crisp white blouse and neutral accessaries but can easily be “winter-ed” up with navy (oh la la, maybe I’ll have to grab a pair of navy tights for the season to wear with this). I love the detail of the half pleat, which is truly a modern take on such a classic style and the print has just enough color to be a little exciting without getting too crazy or seasonal!
PS – I spent the weekend in the city and was blown away by all of the fall clothes in the windows (isn’t it still 90 degrees out!?) As much as I love summer and hate the cold, I am definitely getting excited for some fall shopping! (I might even have to venture into my local Staples to get some “back to school” office supplies – does anyone else miss those days?)
