First of all – I’m sorry for the long delay for a blog post! My computer had the angry mac (the bouncing folder with the question mark!?!?!) and I had to wipe all of my data and start over. I am proud to say I backed up all my photos (phewph!) My office typically slows down for the summer, but things have just been so crazy! I’m sure some of you can relate! Anyways….
Especially if you are very petite like me (I’m only 5’1!), I advise you to wear floral prints with caution. Although perfect for certain occasions, floral dresses are often misused in the work place. A floral dress risks you coming off “too cute,” younger than you look (a colleague of mine recently told me his six year old daughter had the “same” floral top I was wearing the other day) and even worse – unprofessional (you do not want to look like you’re off to a summer day party in Cape Cod in the office.) However, when chosen correctly, I think floral dresses are a great way to add some color into your wardrobe and match perfectly with a blue skied, summer day. The dress here is Rebecca Taylor (last year) and I could not find it ANYWHERE online (I looked for a while so if anyone spots it, please let me know!) Below are some other great florals I found on my (failed) search for this dress – let me know which is your favorite!
PS – I’ve gotten a lot of comments on the shoes. Stuart Weitzman came out with great ones that are similar in suede that I will be purchasing for the fall! (click the photo below for details).
